Lake Park Band Auxilary

Lake Park Band Auxiliary Mission Statement: To enhance the efforts of the Lake Park High School Instrumental Band and Guard programs and all auxiliary activities through fundraising and support enabling students and staff to ‘Strive for Excellence’ in their musical and educational pursuits.

Volunteers Needed

The band program is such an amazing and rewarding experience for the students because of our parent volunteers. Whether you can help with one event or all of them, everything you do is greatly appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed. These are our current volunteer opportunities for our 2022-2023 school year.

Marching Band Kitchen Committee (2) (seasonal): coordinates meals and snacks for the
marching band summer band camps.
Chaperone Chair (seasonal): Coordinates volunteers for band and guard trips to competitions and
events.
Color and Winter Guard Chair (seasonal): Works directly with coaches to coordinate chaperones,
show planning and volunteers.
Concert Band Formal Wear Chair (seasonal): Facilitates assignment of formal wear, sizing,
distribution, return and cleaning of concert band formal wear.
Equipment Crew Chair (seasonal): Works with the band director on design and facilitates the
building of set props for marching band and guard; coordinates the marching band transportation
for transport of musical instruments, and equipment for local and out of town events and
coordinates the crew volunteers.
Fundraising Chair (throughout year): Works directly with the LPBA vice president to coordinate
the band programs’ fundraising events (car wash, dine to donate and special events).
Joust Chair (annual event): Works directly with the executive board to plan and facilitate the
annual marching band Joust.
Photography Committee (3) (throughout year): Experience and equipment needed for taking
professional-quality photos in low light and long distance of band members during camps,
concerts, competitions and events and posts them on social media platforms. 
Alumni Chair (limited but throughout year): Works directly with the LP band alumni group in
coordinating alumni scholarship activities.
Mentor/New Family Chair (throughout year): Works directly with new band families orienting
them to the band programs.
Recruitment Committee (5) (seasonal): Work directly with the band director and staff on
recruiting incoming freshman band students from feeder schools.
Spirit Wear (throughout the year): Coordinate and assist in selling band spirit wear via web store
and at a table at events.
Student Account Chair: Works directly with the LPBA treasurer to invoice and reconcile band
student accounts.
Tag Day Committee (4) (seasonal): Plan and execute the annual Tag Day fundraiser.
Technology Chair (throughout year): Work with the executive board on the LPBA website, email
set-up, and maintenance technology.
Volunteer Chair (throughout year): Work directly with LP activity director, District 108, in
coordination of volunteers for all band events.
Concert Band and Jazz Band Committee (2) (seasonal): Works with the Band Director and
assists in coordination of after concert receptions and post-concert equipment storage.
