| The citizens in north DuPage County support Lake Park High School District
108, a single-school, two-campus district. Founded in 1953, District 108
has met and continues to successfully meet the educational needs of students
in a culturally diverse community. Located 30 miles west of downtown Chicago,
the District serves approximately 90 percent of Roselle, 60 percent of
Bloomingdale, the southeast section of Hanover Park, a portion of Wood
Dale, and all of Itasca, Keeneyville, and Medinah. The District's 50,000
residents enjoy the conveniences of beautifully maintained forest preserves,
recently renovated public libraries, a myriad of religious establishments,
as well as access to prestigious golf clubs, museums, theaters, and a
multitude of restaurants within and around the metropolitan Chicago area.
